FAQ

Answers before someone books, mows, or pays.

These answers explain the MVP flow in plain language. Legal, insurance, payment, and contractor details are placeholders until reviewed by qualified professionals.

ComeMow standard service is mowing grass only. Weed whacking, edging, trimming, leaf cleanup, hauling, landscaping, and other yard work are not included unless ComeMow adds those services later.

Does ComeMow include weed whacking, edging, trimming, or cleanup?

No. The standard ComeMow MVP service is mowing grass only. Weed whacking, edging, trimming, leaf cleanup, hauling, landscaping, and other yard work are not included unless ComeMow adds those services later.

How does ComeMow decide what part of my yard should be mowed?

ComeMow starts with satellite imagery, address context, and AI yard analysis to estimate the mowable grass. You must review and edit the polygon before approving the quote because imagery and AI can be wrong.

Can I change the mowing area if the automatic selection is wrong?

Yes. You can drag polygon points, add more points along a segment, delete an incorrect area, and add additional mowing areas for separated sections like front, side, and back yards.

Why do I need to upload yard photos?

Photos help mowers understand current conditions and help admins resolve disputes. They also support pricing when satellite imagery is outdated or unclear.

What counts as an overgrown yard?

For the MVP, overgrown means grass that is 10 inches or taller. Standard mowing quotes assume the yard is not overgrown unless a separate policy or admin-approved quote applies.

How is the quote calculated?

The quote includes a base mowing rate, any size or complexity adjustment, travel adjustment, the 15% platform service fee, taxes or processing placeholders when configured, and an estimated mowing time.

What is the travel or distance adjustment?

ComeMow looks at active mowers in the area. If the nearest active mower is more than 30 miles from the yard, the extra distance is shown as a travel adjustment at $0.50 per mile.

When would a complexity fee appear?

A complexity fee should only appear with a specific reason, such as steep terrain, narrow gates, many disconnected mowing zones, unusually dense obstacles, or access that slows the job.

When am I charged?

Customers approve the quote and payment authorization before dispatch. In development mode the app uses safe Stripe placeholders instead of moving real money.

How are mowers chosen?

Approved, available mowers inside the service radius are sorted by distance. The closest mower receives a two-minute offer first, then the next closest mower if the offer expires.

Can I track the mower?

After a mower accepts, the customer can view live location updates in the job tracking page. Location sharing stops after the job is completed.

What happens after the mower finishes?

The mower uploads completion photos. The customer reviews the photos, approves the completed job, and can rate the mower. Approval triggers the payout workflow.

Are mowers employees of ComeMow?

The MVP treats mowers as independent contractors. Contractor terms, insurance requirements, tax treatment, and legal language are placeholders and must be reviewed by an attorney before launch.

What if my yard is unsafe or different from what I submitted?

Mowers should stop and contact support if the yard is unsafe or materially different. Admins can review photos, adjust pricing, resolve disputes, or reassign the job.

Is ComeMow ready for real customers today?

This is a production-quality MVP foundation. Before launch, connect production API keys, finalize legal documents, configure real notifications, validate insurance operations, and complete payment compliance review.
